From Bangladesh, he landed in Maiori four years ago. Shalom Mia, 32, quickly learned the mastery of Italian cuisine, precisely that of Campania and the Amalfi Coast, thanks in part to the support of all the staff at Pineta 1903, especially Carlo De Filippo and the chefs Provino Milo and Gianluca Giordano.

How long have you been working at Pineta 1903 restaurant?
I arrived in Maiori about four years ago, and after a year, I started working in the restaurant’s kitchen. It is, therefore, three years.
What do you do?
I prepare the appetizers and the main courses. I also take care of the production of the artisanal pasta inside the restaurant’s pasta factory.
What do you like most about your job?
The people I work with, especially Carlo De Filippo, the owner. Then I like to cook.
And what is your favorite dish?
Spaghetti, either with clams or with fresh tomatoes.
