In his second season, the young 24-year-old from Agerola takes care of his guests by bringing dishes prepared by the two chefs to the table. Accustomed to the world of food, he comes, in fact, from a family of cheesemakers. Giancarlo tells his story in this brief interview.
How did you start working at Pineta 1903?
I came here two years ago because my cousin is a friend of Carlo De Filippo, the owner, and she also knew his wife, Mariantonia. I was looking for employment, and Carlo suggested I work in the lounge as a waiter.
What are you passionate about this job?
I like to see people savoring each bite. I see them happy, content, relaxed, and smiling. All this makes my task more enjoyable.
What is your favorite thing about Pineta 1903?
The collaboration that exists between us guys. Despite the chaos at peak times, we always manage to find harmony. We complement each other. There is a lot of sincerity between us, allowing me to work peacefully.
