Portraits of the Pineta 1903 family: Antonella Gaito

Portraits of the Pineta 1903 family: Antonella Gaito

Kindness, a big smile, and professionalism. Antonella Gaito welcomes customers and seats them at one of the tables under the large lemon grove. Our hostess tells her story in this short interview.

How did you start working here?

I started a few months ago. I am a great friend of Carlo De Filippo, the owner, who asked me to be part of his team, and I accepted.

What do you like most about this job?

My colleagues and the environment around us. In this beautiful lemon, it is impossible not to love the evolution of the work. I work serenely, and that makes me happy. Plus, you win easily here, as the chefs and the food are excellent.

What is your favorite dish?

In its simplicity, my favorite is Il Mare in Saccoccio (lukewarm seafood salad with clams, mussels, cuttlefish, octopus, shrimp, langoustine, fasularo with croutons made from bread, all served in foil, ed.) I like its intense flavor.
